Feature Friday- Beautiful Beads

I posted on the Club Creative Studio Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ClubCreativeStudio a photo of small plastic disks.  The disks are used in golf as markers for golf ball placement and they are pushed into the ground and stay put by the protruding part in the middle of the disk.

I use golf markers differently

I pose the question:  What might someone do with this item that is different from it’s intended use?  How creative can you be?  Think hard. Do you know a way that a common item can be used differently to help you?

I recently posted  a great definition of creativity on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/clubcreativeart “New thinking leads to new possibilities.”  I do believe that you need to be able to open up to new experiences to gain the opportunity to see things in a different light.  Also, being brave is a big part of creativity.  One has to step out-of-bounds to experience a different view from the world of rules and expectations. When speaking and referring to creativity, risk-taking is a desired characteristic.  Being strong and willing to look deeper with new materials and techniques is what can transform creative juice into a totally new concoction.

I have used a common golf marker disk in an uncommon way in art.  The disks now help me in my business because it makes a job easier.  It was a challenge for me to take a photograph of a bead because of its potential to roll.  It  is now an easier task for me as I conveniently place an individual bead onto the golf placement disk.  It is held secure, still and is a solution to better picture-taking.  The ease and swiftness of  attaching my bead leads to a smooth photography session, and ultimately a better photograph.  Yeah for thinking outside of the box and making it work for my needs.

Enjoy admiring the details of my hand-rolled polymer clay beads. I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind, limited count beads in various sizes, shapes and with hand-mixed colors.  You will find some beads are also hand-glossed and some are left sanded and in their natural state after baking.  These wonderful beads are so fun for me to create.  Most beads involve upwards of 13 steps before completion of a single bead from start to finish.  Club Creative Studio beads are a labor of love to say the least.  Items that incorporate our hand-made beads are considered ART THAT SETS YOU APART because of  uniqueness and special visual qualities. I strive to BE CREATIVE EVERYDAY!
